I have a flower in the garden that droops every night and wakes up with the morning light. I took a series of pictures over 1 1/2 hours to show the flower waking up.

With the fire bans lifted, it was time for the yearly Birthday Party.

After looking at these photos, I realized they were all taken with the 18-70 kit lens. I had decided to do the whole evening with this lens to see how they would turn out. There's was something not quite right about the photos with people and I couldn't put my finger on it. Now I realize it was the kit lens. Goodbye kit lens, Sigma 105, when will you be returned to me?

I couldn't stay away from macros.

After seeing this copper sunflower in the garden today, I could no longer stay away from using Henk's macro lens.
